Between Fabrics…

And speaking of fabrics, we have to tell you about Visconti, decorative fabrics. Working with this client was a huge learning experience for us: thanks to them we sharpened our styling and our understanding of the textile world — textures, color palettes, combinations, and more.

Besides admiring exquisite imported fabrics, we developed their branding with highly creative images produced by brands such as Decortex and Sur Canapé, from Italy.

At one point, when imported fabrics became scarce, a large part of Visconti Telas’ portfolio was built with excellent local suppliers. They asked us to produce a photo shoot so they would have material for their communication.

We shot a sequence of photographs, paying special attention to lighting so that the textures and colors of each fabric could be fully appreciated.

Here is how the photographs were applied to some cards we designed so that customers visiting the store could take stapled samples home.

We also created a series of ads for DyD Magazine, mixing the international material with our own photos.

This client, like many others, made us the designers we are today. If you ask us what we love most about our profession, we always give the same answer: it is the most beautiful door we have found to remain eternal apprentices…
