Imaginary Bestiary Series: ¿Por qué cuelga un elefante? (Why Does an Elephant Hang?)
We imagine dragons as immense, powerful creatures, but the truth is that their souls long for the tiny. Being so large, the world they inhabit seems like a miniature to them. That is why they dream of the simplicity their size denies them.
But among them Renata was born, a dragon with a small body and unable to fly. What seemed a flaw became her greatest freedom. While the other dragons dreamed of little rivers and flowers, Renata dreamed of vastness.
In her dreams, Renata lived among elephants. Her favorite adventure was that of a mischievous little elephant who hid in the treetops. His mother, unable to reach him, could only watch helplessly. But Renata would fly to the top to bring him back into his mother’s arms.
Renata understood that true greatness is not measured by the size of one’s wings, but by the vastness of one’s dreams.
