Prana, Saluda al Sol is a design and illustration project that shows cohesive art direction for a young, educational audience. The book, launched in 2024 at the renowned Buenos Aires International Book Fair under the Editorial Olivia imprint, was created in close collaboration with the editor and author Bettina Pintos, and is the result of a careful process of visual conceptualization.
Project details:
We developed a unique identity based on an organic palette that evokes the native forest (moss greens, earth tones, ochre yellows) with a warm accent in vibrant orange that symbolizes the sun and “prana” energy. Each spread was designed to maximize visual impact and educational clarity. Textures and layering techniques were used to create atmospheric settings (such as the misty forest) where the characters’ actions stand out without overwhelming.
The characters were created using collage: a cast of animals with a tender aesthetic that immerses the reader in a serene atmosphere.
In the editorial design, endpapers with playful patterns and the text layout were conceived to make reading fluid and interaction intuitive for children, turning the learning of yoga poses into a visual game.
